SAVOR … Catering by SMG will be happy to assist with sampling needs at EXPO 2012. SAVOR at the Long Beach Convention Center holds the only liquor license eligible to be used on the premises. The following is the guideline we require in order to meet the California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) rules for licensees and to maintain our SAVOR customer service standards:
- All exhibitors must complete our Vendor Sampling Form showing all of the information necessary to handle their product.
- All product sampled must be related to the company’s normal line of business, must only be sampled to the attendees of the trade show and must adhere to the ABC sampling guidelines.
- Product may be shipped from the manufacturer to the distributor who distributes in the Southern California area. The distributor must ship the product to SAVOR at this address:
SMG Food and Beverage
Attn: Receiving Dept
300 E. Ocean Blvd.
Long Beach, CA. 90802
- Products shipped must list all items on an invoice billed to SMG Food and Beverage LLC, referencing the appropriate exhibitor name. All products must have a reasonable dollar amount billed on the invoice. This amount will have been determined by the manufacturer and distributor. Our ABC license number is 425158.
- The exhibitor will be responsible to pay the total amount of the invoice to SAVOR.
- All unused shipped product must be returned to SAVOR at the end of the show. ABC rules prohibit refunds or credits to be given for unused product and do not allow any alcoholic products to leave the licensed premises.
- A SAVOR bartender must serve all alcoholic products from the exhibitor booth. The labor fee is $37.25 per hour with a 4 hour minimum charge per day ($150 minimum). All hours over 8 per day will be billed at 1.5 times the regular rate.
- Additional deliveries will be charged $25 each.
- No setups are included. Ice, bins, cups, paper or other supplies are available to be ordered separately from SAVOR if needed.
- All charges must be paid in advance (company check preferred if paying at least 2 weeks in advance). A credit card will also need to be provided for any on-site additions.
- A corkage fee may apply for product distributed that exceeds the Sampling Guidelines.
