(LOS ANGELES) — Luis de la Mata, president of Unified's Southern California Division, was honored recently by the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House for his charitable efforts on behalf of the organization. He was recognized September 9th at the group's annual Mac Tonight Dinner/Dance and Auction in the City of Industry, CA.
Prior to joining Unified Western Grocers, de la Mata provided support to the organization in the New York metropolitan area and was "welcomed back" to the Los Angeles area and for his continuing support of Ronald McDonald House.
The mission of the Ronald McDonald House of Los Angeles is to provide a home away from home for families of children undergoing treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and other area hospitals. The House also provides a supportive environment where families can receive comfort from others who share similar concerns.
