Douglas (Doug) Nidiffer was first elected to the Unified Grocers Board of Directors in 2001.
Doug, the son of C & K Market founders, Ray and June Nidiffer, grew up in the family business. After graduating from college, Doug returned to the company where he has served in virtually every capacity. When Doug’s father, Ray, retired in 1997, Doug became the company’s second President and Chief Executive Officer.
Headquartered in Brookings, Oregon, C & K operates 60 grocery stores under the names Ray’s Food Place, Price Less and Shop Smart, in Oregon and Northern California. Today the family business continues to acquire and build new store locations, while updating and remodeling existing locations.
